University of Texas of the Permian Basin
Student Multipurpose Center
Odessa, TX
UTPB needed a two-story student multipurpose center. The project was located in the center of the campus with student traffic nearby, so UTPB had strict technical and safety requirements. UTPB chose Imperial over the lowest bidder because of our value qualifications and flawless safety record. Imperial provided both a Quality Control Manager and a Safety Manager on-site, along with supervisory personnel to monitor and guide everyone working under our authority so that we met and exceeded all the project requirements.
Texas Tech Health Sciences Center and Hendrick Medical Center
School of Pharmacy - Abilene, TX
Texas Tech and Hendrick Medical Center joined in a collaborative effort to build a 39,000 square foot, two-story medical education facility consisting of laboratories, classrooms, offices and an IT room. The project had to be completed in time for the school to apply for accreditation during what turned out to be the wettest year in history, May 2006 to June 2007. Imperial created an extensive critical path schedule and had to update it continually due to flooding. Because we were willing to do whatever it took, Imperial completed the project on time and the school received its accreditation.
Tyler Junior College
Tyler Junior College Satellite Physical Plant
Tyler, TX
This project involved constructing a new 6,150 square foot satellite physical plant and installing of a chilled water loop throughout the campus. The plant had to be built in the center of campus, and for the mile-long campus utilities loop we had to dig more than 5,000 six-footdeep trenches under parking garages and across roads, parking lots, and utilities, without impacting anything. Imperial staffed the project with two teams one building the plant, and one installing the loop. The teams communicated daily for a proactive approach that made this project a success.
